Solar Savers
Overview
Solar Savers is a council led initiative, helping pensioners to access the benefits of solar, without the upfront costs.
The program enables households to install solar and then pay it off over time through a small additional payment on their rates. If the resident moves from their home, the payment is carried over to the new owner.
Solar Savers is a great option for pensioners looking to reduce their energy costs and start powering their home with clean energy.
Solar Savers is entering its 6th year in 2023/24 and has so far delivered 102 high quality solar systems to pensioners across the Hepburn Shire. Local residents who receive a concession on their rates are currently being approached to take part in the program.
