Heat Pump Hot Water Bulk-Buy

Hepburn Energy partnered with t2zero for Round 2 Heat Pump Hot Water Heater Bulk-Buy for residents of Hepburn Shire & surrounds in 2023. 

Heat pumps are highly-efficient water heaters and make a great energy-efficient alternative to electric, gas or wood systems.  The bulk-buy program offered the supply of high-quality systems eligible for State Government rebates, greatly reducing the cost of individual systems.  Due to the sold-out success of the 2021 bulk buy, Round 2 was extended beyond the Hepburn Shire to Ballarat, Moorabool, Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander Shire residents. 

The offer provided information webinars, support and products to help residents improve their energy efficiency and lower emissions. There were 141 expressions of interest in the program, 133 quotes sent and over 100 attendees to the information webinars.

Through the bulk-buy, participating residents were provided with information on heat pumps, their benefits, how they can be optimised and more.   Please find a recording of the first 2023 webinar below.

The program has seen a total of 78 heat pump hot water systems supplied and installed through Central Victoria, with a value of $528,159.  This translates to a huge reduction of 407 tonnes of Co2 emissions and two free systems for local community groups!
